【摘要】:Waxesdonotgothroughasharpsolid-liquidphasechangewhenheatedandthereforedonothaveatruemeltingpoint.Asthetemperaturerises,waxesgraduallysoftenorbecomelessviscous.Forthisreason,thedeterminationofthesofteningpointmustbemadebyanarbitrarybutcloselydefinedmethodiftestvaluesaretobereproducible.Thistestisusefulindeterminingtheconsistencyofwaxes,andasoneelementinestablishingtheuniformityofshipmentsorsourceofsupply.Thistestmethodhasbeenfoundsuitableforalltypesofwaxesincludingparaffin,microcrystallinepolyethylene,andnaturalwaxes.1.1ThistestmethodcoversthedeterminationoftheASTMdroppingpointforwaxes.1.2Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.

Scope: This Aerospace Recommended Practice (ARP) is therefore intended to document the process of landing gear system development.
