【摘要】:ThisInternationalStandardappliestogamma-rayspectracollectedwithhyperpuregermaniumdetectors(HPGe)foruseingamma-rayspectrometry,especiallyforlow-backgrounddetectorsandmeasurements.Thisstandarddefinestermsusedtodescribethebackgroundandthebackgroundspectrumitself.Thisstandarddoesnotpresentmethodsthatdescribehowtoreducethebackground.TheobjectofthisstandardistoprovideauniformmethodfordescribingandcharacterizingthebackgroundinaspectrumfromanHPGedetector.DefinitionsandmethodsareappliedtodefinevaluesforanHPGedetectorthatisconsideredtobeusedforlow-backgroundmeasurements.Thisapproachprovidesbothmanufacturersandenduserswithawaytospecifythelow-backgroundperformanceofthedetectorandallowsthecomparisonofdetectorsusedforthesekindsofmeasurements.Thebackgroundandpeakvaluesdeterminedbytheproceduresinthisstandardwillprovidetheuserwithinformationregardingtheexpectedbackgroundperformanceofthedetector,inparticulartoallowforthecomparisonofseveraldifferentdetectors.
